Privacy and data

3GPP Analyzer is operated by Milewire, LLC. This page says what the site stores and which outside services touch your requests. Last updated October 2026.

What the site does not do

  • There are no accounts or sign-ins.
  • The site sets no cookies and shows no advertising.
  • It loads no third-party analytics or tracking scripts.

Chat search (Ask)

When you ask a question on the Ask page or the homepage, the Worker that runs the site's API records the text of your question, whether the answer was AI-ranked or keyword-only, and how many results were returned, along with the time. Milewire reads these to see what people look for and to improve the catalog and search. No IP address, name or other identifier is saved with the question. Questions are deleted automatically after 90 days. Please do not type personal or confidential information into the chat.

To rank results, your question and a short list of matching catalog entries are sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic processes that request under its own terms and privacy policy.

To tell people from automated traffic, the chat uses Cloudflare Turnstile. It runs a short check in your browser and sends the result to Cloudflare, which handles it under its own privacy policy.

Rate limiting

To stop one connection from overusing the search and AI features, the API keeps a counter keyed to a short one-way hash of your IP address. The hash is not saved with your question, and the counter holds only a number and a time window. Counters are deleted automatically after two days.

AI summaries

Spec pages can show an AI-written summary. It is generated from the public Scope text of the specification, not from anything you type, and the result is stored with that spec.

Your browser

The site stores one value in your browser's local storage: your light or dark theme choice. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Hosting providers

The site is served through Vercel, and the API and database run on Cloudflare. As with most web services, those providers handle your requests and may keep standard server logs, which can include IP addresses and request details, under their own policies.
